Our Practice FAQ
What is Direct Primary Care
Direct Primary Care is a membership-based healthcare model where patients pay a flat monthly fee for unlimited access to their physician. This allows us to provide more personalized, accessible, and comprehensive care—without insurance billing or hidden costs. The American Academy of Family Practice has an explainer for more detail.
What services are included in my membership?
- Extended in-person visits (Including Home Visits)
- Same- or next-day scheduling
- Telehealth visits (video or phone)
- Routine labs and screenings (at-cost or included)
- Preventive care and wellness planning
- Chronic disease management
- Coordination with specialists and imaging centers
Can I still use my insurance?
Yes, just not for visits. While we don’t bill insurance for our services, you can still use insurance for things like prescriptions, specialist visits, labs, or imaging. Many members find that DPC complements their insurance plan by covering what insurance often overlooks: direct access and longer, unrushed visits. Since routine care is covered, a higher deductible plan can help you save. The cost of your membership can come from an HSA or FSA.
Is Direct Primary Care right for me?
- DPC is ideal for individuals and families who value:
- More time with their doctor
- Transparent pricing
- Preventive and whole-person care
- Convenient access via text, phone, or video
- It works especially well for people with chronic conditions, busy professionals, or anyone frustrated with the traditional healthcare experience.
How do I sign up or learn more?
You can contact us to learn more or to schedule an intake. More information regarding the practice is free, and we are happy to answer any questions you may have.
